Begin with a scenic ride along the coastline, exploring natural features and ocean views. Pass through James Bay, one of Victoria’s oldest neighborhoods, known for its charming homes and gardens that preserve their 19th-century character. A quick stop at the town’s oldest grocer offers a taste of local flavor.
Visit the Emily Carr House to learn about the famous (and sometimes controversial) artist. Guests can choose to tour the museum—admission is by donation.
Cycle through Beacon Hill Park, a lush oasis filled with gardens, flowering shrubs, and the Sun Dial Garden, a popular wedding photo spot. Keep an eye out for peacocks and Bald Eagles, and enjoy crossing the medieval stone bridge.
Enter Victoria’s Inner Harbour, home to the Legislative Buildings and the Empress Hotel. Then, explore the lively downtown area, where ships dock and street performers entertain. Walk along Victorian-era shops and wide sidewalks, then venture into Old Town for a more historic feel.
Pass through the Gates of Harmonious Interest into Canada’s oldest Chinatown. Peek down Fan Tan Alley, the narrowest street in Canada, and enjoy a snack or pick up souvenirs from local shops if time allows.
